Issues in 1.1?

Haven't tried doing any of these things before the 1.1 Beta patch, so maybe not 1.1 issues:

1. When a ship is built at a planet with a pre-determined rally point, it is automatically launched upon being built, but it is not always displayed outside the planet. Clicking on the square where launched ships go reveals the ship.

2. Ships auto-piloting to a nav point which is set to Fleet which contains other ships causes the End Turn button to disappear (when they arrive at the nav and form a fleet) and the turn to break. Moving them there yourself doesn't cause this problem.

3. The colony nav point screen in the Civilisation manager doesn't seem quite right. Should I be able to select a colony in one column and a nav point in the other?

Bugs and play comments after 2 games:

I clicked on a freighter that was running and existing route and tried to reroute him to a different planet. Game wouldn't let me but the following turn the freighter wouldn't move, and I got a constant beeping sound (like I was holding down a key). Had to put the freighter on GUARD and it never moved. If I tried to move it, beeping sound and wouldn't let me select another ship or finish my turn.

I've commented before that the aI doesn' t understand military might correctly and it's more evident with the new patch. With a more aggressive AI, it's declaring war on me all the time since I have the 3rd largest military of the 7 races. But it's ill prepared to fight. The Alterians declared war on me before even having defenders on most of their planets. I set my research to 100%, got planetary invasion, and took 5 of their 8 worlds from them in about 25 turns. Could have finished them off but the slower population growth was really limiting my ground assaults. Right now, I'm at war with 3 races and kicking them all over the map. The only limiting factor in my taking over the galaxy is population. This will be my fastest victory yet. Nobody even has medium hulled ships yet and it's been non-stop fighting.

Oh and I can't use any of my old designs --- even though is says I have used 0 of 31 spaces, I have some bling on my old designs and when I try to upgrade no matter what size the component is it says i don't have enough room for that item.

What intelligence level are you at?

Bugs I found..
Sometimes when continuing a game all planets have 1% approvel on them no matter how many moral social progects on it.
Game sometimes crashes when a enemy trys to take a planet. I got past this on my 3 restart on a saved game. The finaly took the base with out a crash. I also saw in the social area on the planet it had <2 and said never on completion time even though it had 2 weeks left to finish.

Bugs I've run into so far:

- Only happened once, but the BC cost of my espionage was not showing on the race relations screen. After closing the screen and bringing it back up, the cost showed correctly again. Haven't been able to reproduce this yet (which I know sucks for debugging purposes)

- I had a military rating of 356 and the Yor had a rating under 100. Yet they declared war on me. They didn't do anything, just kinda sat at their planets and sent a transport into my territory once in a great while. This was on Challenging with "random intellects" turned on. They should have been within a 20% plus/minus intellect of all the other races, but damn did they play dumb the entire game.

- when researching a new technology, the "New Components" is instead showing the New Designs (IE: Corvette, Combat Transports, etc) and New Designs is showing blank. This is repeatable.

i also had the esponage error, all it showed was 0bc all the way across.

I saw the espionage bug too, and I am not using the beta. Just 10x. it was my first use of espionage in the game, and first time period. I just figured thats how it worked (unknown amout first turn applying it). I didn't like it if it was a feature. Glad to know it's not.

Don't know if it is race specific. I was applying it to the insects.

Issues I've run into:

- The Social timetables are still wrong. The Research timetables are much better, though.

- Aren't you supposed to get some free production from racial abilities? I always choose +50 military, and I haven't seen it. Where is it supposed to list your free production?

- In the Planet/Ships tab, there are a LOT of keys you can sort your planets/ships by! That needs to be a pop-up menu instead of a cyclical field. I spend forever changing my sort keys.

- Some of us don't want to disable minor races, we want more minor races. I suggest a rare/uncommon/occasional/common/abundant tab for minors.

- Difficult to differentiate mined from unmined starbase resources on the zoomed-out tactical map.

The free military production is definitely working in my game. The trick is, it doesn't show up until I actually start building a ship. I think Brad mentioned splitting the planet display into paid and free points, but I'm not seeing that at the planet level, only in the empire-wide economic screen.

I've notcied the above bugs as well as:

End Turn button disappearing on me after I press it. Only seems to happen when I should have finished researching a tech. It never actually goes to the next round (i.e. no quarterly report is issued), but the End Turn button is gone. Reloading a previous savegame doesn't fix it, until I quit back to desktop first.

This bug is the biggest one I've found, but there is a work around (kinda).

EDIT: Actually, it happened again, and I can't fix it by reloading a savegame. Meh.

EDIT2: Ok found a work-around that actually works now: When the turn button disappears, I save the game right there, then load that one. Yay, I can play now.
EDIT3: Well, it's a real pain to get through it when it does this. Sometimes I have to do a save/load more than once to get it to continue. I believe it's hanging on some kind of AI behavior, as if the AI wants to move or something, but can't figure it out, so the next turn never comes.

Are you sure you just don't have ships that you haven't moved? I've found with the beta that if the TURN button isn't green (all ships have moved) and you press it then it will dissapear until you move the rest of the ships.
