LoL!! that was so funny. Alot of you sound young in context. Arrogant even. not all, but some - you know who you are, more then likely it would be the one's who would post directly after this particular post who'll be the most offended. The people that give this game a bad name are the ones that instantly think that this was a direct flame and it wasn't; but, its ok.
If this is the type of forum that you can come to and ask for help that is one thing, but it has to be looked at with an open mind not a closed one to get any progression out of the current situation. I may have been a bit frustrated with it at the time and have said too much (as we have all done sometime in our lives). To the people that just want to kill you for putting down this great game, because you are having BIG problems with it - gives the game a bad rap as well as the people who created it. You are Slandering the buyer that is not right, someone who asks for help and all he gets is grief by those who are insensitive jerks. I mean where are your ethics? I am guessing in your the place where you sit, you have no idea how badly you look to the creators of this game by your comments and rude dispostion. I pity you.
I bought the game from Amazon.com - it came as is 1.0 - 2 cd's.
I did not know there was an updated version of the game (or patch will have you) - I thought it was being worked on - because when i hit the update button it takes me to a download page with the heading "This is what you will come to see in the new features of Gal Civ ". So, i figured that is where the game is at. Then i got a email from some guy on th forum to Download this software downloader - I don't usually or ever download things like that.
As for the configuration of my computer - its really none of your business what I have - the best I can say is that its an AMD FX 60 with Dual SLI - 7800 GTX's with the DX 9.0c and I have 2g of Corsair PC4400 C2. The rest is as sweet as apple pie.
I play other games besides this game and I have never had hard crashes with them like memory errors and such anyways. That all, So flame me and take the message to heart. By the end of this Post it will have a grapevine affect; just liek above where the post went from hurt feelings to beer pong LoL!
