Won a cultural victory! :)

I made 2 classes of construction ships to focus on a cultural victory, one the Polar 10 (basically the cheapest construction ship you can build but looked very similar to the 30) and the Polar 30, shown here which was much improved over the 10. Although more expensive, the 30 had twice the speed and enough range to cover an entire tiny galaxy which was exactly what I needed. I only had 2 planets most of the game and picked up a 3rd towards the end which was only a 4. My second was only a 5 as well. Anyway, I micro managed both planets to produce these Polar 30 class construction ships as fast as possible. This means many factories and researching mainly manufacturing techs. I did however, let research take somewhat of a back seat and in addition, I done very little trading. My homeworld was able to crank out Polar 30s in 3 turns and my second planet in 7 turns. Also, when I had some cash, I would buy them outright.
I stuck to the strategy of cultural domination and built several starbases. WIthin only a hour and a half of play time, the game had ended with me winning a cultural victory. Now here is the huge downfall and probably funny to some, this was on beginner level with a tiny galaxy and only 3 other races.
All in all, it still was fun for a quick thrill. At least I got the feel now as to how I may try and accomplish a cultural domination when I play a larger galaxy on normal or higher. I think I am going to play like this again. Oh, isn't that a fancy ship?
