Clicking home planet brings up graphs

Sometimes when I click my home planet it will react as if I just clicked on empty space by bringing up industry, population graphs etc in the information box of the interface.
This means I have to click once on the planet, then double click to go to the planet directly to view information. It can get pretty bad at times.
