Bonuses And Capitals: 7x2?

If you place an [x] capital on an [x] bonus tile, is the 2xtotal production bonus from the capital multiplied by the tile bonus? Is it supposed to be?

Capitals don't benefit from bonus tiles, only regular factories etc.

true, capital are a planet bonus modifier, they don't actually produce anything.

That's what i figured - and why I'd never tried it - but I was reading a review and they author was all excited to be dropping a mancap on a x7 manufacturing square. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on the biggest bonus ever.
