EB Games Canadian Retail in Stock

My local store gets their FedEx shipments around noon and Gal Civ 2 was part of it! However, after the preorders were filled, they only had 3 copies to put on shelves, and those were stuck behind glass for people who had already called to have one put aside for them.

In short, there aren't many out there, so get them fast....

Now, off to work.....DOH!

The power was out at my company this morning, so I stopped by my local EB Games at around 10:30 this morning, hoping my pre-order had finally arrived. The helpful staff cracked open the shipment (which had just arrived) and there it was!

No Collector's Edition, unfortunately, but at least now I can play it.

That's nice. When I came back from school, I phoned to check if they had received my copy (pre-ordered of course), only to find out that they forgot to put one copy aside for me.

They're supposed to receive some tomorrow though. Had I not pre-ordered it, I could walk in any futureshop around here to pick up a copy.

Last time I pre-order from EB Games. And this time I mean it!

Update to the story, they had 2 pre-orders and received 1 copy. The other guy got it first. I had not been told that yesterday.

Finally, since they did not know when they would receive any other copy, they returned my deposit and I "walked into any Futureshop around here and picked up a copy". They had 4 (small store for a Futureshop) and they were 5$ less than at EB.

I pity the other guy.

Yup, I got mine yesterday too - last one in the store. Their whole stock had been reserved.
