Question about the music

I was wondering if the music in galciv2 is the same as galciv1. I mean I like the theme from galciv1but it would be nice to have some variety.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if the first is in the game, but I know that GalCiv2 has a lot more music than the original. Over an hour of it, I believe.

the peices i've heard so far and the intro i've seen gave me flashes to Lord of The Rings. Which is an extreme compliment to whoever did it. To be put in the same class as that...

Kudos to whoever did it. (hint: who did it?)

I love the intro. It actually reminds me of the Heroes Of Might And Magic II fabulous CD soundtrack! Also it's almost as haunting as the intro song "Baba Yetu" in Civilization VI. But only almost.

The music was done by Mason Fisher, who was a true professional through the whole process. He's also teaming up with us for Society, so I can't wait to hear what he comes up with for that.

Oh, and some of the GalCiv1 music is in the game, but it should randomly pick from a whole slew of music, most of it new.

I'm still stuck playing civilization 4, and I never did give civ5 a go (I think they made a mistake turning the series into an RTS but hey, their sales are up).

Awesome! I can't wait until I can get my hands on this game this weekend ( I preordered it from Gamestop) and enjoy the new scores while conquering the galaxy.

The manual also says you can place your own selection of music into the music folder, which the game will select during play.

I think Mason also did the music for Age of Wonders.
