I've never seen anything in game to tell you the exact version you're playing. If you're started a new EPIC session late this afternoon (after around 3:30 est) then your files were updated to 0.70.274685. As far as I know this process of overwriting and replacing files is automatic and absolute so you can never play the prior version once you start a new session if an update has been made (unless that version is available under the non-Test download - which is currently on 0.65). Once you start a new game in Test the only version that game can be is 0.70.274685. If you're trying to play a saved game from the previous Test version (0.70.274272) that game may have conflicts with the new version that will cause you problems.
Yep. I understand that now. I've been asked to verify my version of the game by GameDev staff and had nowhere to find that info in-game. Which is weird to me because it's a simple text that could easily be added to literally any screen ingame. The game load menu, the "about us" screen, anywhere really. Instead, I had to find the full version number in the epic game launcher in the same section where you can verify the latest version. It's not intuitive but again i'm the one out of the GameDev loop that didn't know where to look to verify the latest game upgrades to be sure they're installed and updated to the latest release version. Funny how there's text designated on the game load screen on the bottom left to display which version of the game you're playing and it's being under-utilized and/or not updated with the full version of the game you're currently playing after each game update.
