I sooo want to love this game after playing a couple hours on the free weekend and buying. However, somehow with my setup (AMD FX-6300 3.5ghz rig with Asus GeForce 1050 Ti 4gb video, 16gb RAM, and SSD disk), the FPS drops pretty horribly even in some of the tutorial missions. It seems like the more there is on screen (map size, unit/building/ship models), scrolling and zooming gets choppy, and even the flying ships jitter and pause like 2-3 times through every tile they pass through.

I've tried everything too! I've updated video drivers, verified steam game file integrity, tried medium and low graphics settings in-game, tried forcing lower versions of DirectX and OpenGL via launch options, tried lower resolutions in both fullscreen and windowed mode, unplugged secondary monitor, etc. I want to love this seemingly awesome game, but it's difficult when it chugs; Yet somehow I can play Overwatch, Starcraft, Civ VI, Total War games, etc. at high settings, but this one chugs?

Don't mean this to be a negative post! Just frustrated that I can't get into this seemingly awesome game Not sure what else I can try?
