Firstly, apologies if this topic has been raised before. My search turned up nothing on this specific problem, but I find you never can trust forum searches implicitly.
I seem to have stumbled upon a problem with the UI when renaming a planet from the 'Govern Planet' window (main planet surface window -> govern planet button in bottom left -> rename planet button below planet options).
Sometimes the window this opens is behind the planet management window, so that you only see it when you close that window.
I say sometimes because I just reloaded a save after checking the build number, and upon testing this error I found that every planet opened the rename window immediately, and on top of the current window. I know for a fact I have had occaisons when the rename window is hidden. When I first noticed this problem I clicked on rename planet button and nothing happened, so I clicked a number of times more out of frustration (or thinking it was unresponsive) and ended up with many rename planet windows once I closed the planet window. I actually thought the feature was broken until I realised it had opened a number of rename planet windows behind the window I was using.
My thought is that this may be a bug that only occurs when a planet is newly settled. I often rename a planet to include whether I want it to be industrial or farming etc the first time I set a build queue up, i.e. upon being newly settled.
Hopefully you can recreate this because I promise you this is happening. I know it sounds bizarre, and the fact I mention I've seen it working right has me coming across as a crazy person.
I am aware you can change planet names on the map. I haven't really used that since I re-picked up the game with the new expansion. I hadn't played for quite a few months, but I don't remember ever coming across this with the release build.
