1st idea: Can we have Spies? I find it quite strange that a game of this kind has no use for spies. Please allow spies such as...
Infiltration spies that... infiltrate cities and report on a planet`s resources, people, armies, ships etc.
Spies that steal tech knowledge.
Sabotage spies... Bugger up another Faction`s Industry.
Fleet spies, that inform me of where an enemy fleet is as long as it remains undiscovered.
Counter spies... To watch for enemy spies.
Turned spies... spies captured and turned against their own Faction, if not killed.
Obviously one spy can do all this, perhaps some with certain traits that make them better at certain spy tasks, but can be trained to do other tasks if left in a particular job long enough.
All spying is dangerous and no task should be too easy save for planet infiltration and observation. Also many of these actions can result in serious diplomatic hits if the spy is caught and the Faction figures out who is responsible, even War.
Certain races can spy better than others and even races like the Yor while being perhaps the hardest to infiltrate might manage to pay off a Yor citizen to be a spy or turn a Yor spy to spy on its own. The Yor do seem to have some individuality at least they seem to when watching their ships in battle. I suppose some Races could be immune to spies.
2nd idea. Personalised Governers.
I really like the option of setting Governers for my planets. I don`t use it for every planet, but I do for some.
Now it seems to me strange that I have no idea who my Governers are- they are faceless. These guys are ruling a whole planet, like one would rule a Province of a country, I would think as Supreme Ruler, I would have an idea WHOM this guy is?
A randomised name, a randomised face, even a little bio on siblings or family would be nice.
