I have a question concerning whether the Master Smiths trait is working as intended. I didn't feel it was working the way its described as working, so I created two new playthroughs, one with the trait, and one without.
Basically, researching straight to leather armor under the exact same conditions with and without the trait, there was no discernible difference. Without Master Smiths, basic club cost 7 production, basic spear 17, and most leather armor 6. With Master Smiths, the exact same values are listed in the design window. Designing the unit exactly the same way, without Master Smiths the wage was 0.8 (took some perks to boost production cost for testing purposes), and with Master smiths the wage was 0.7.
So what am I missing? Does the production cost only apply to techs beyond leather? Does the actual savings not show on the design screen? Is this trait working as intended or broken?
Any help would be appreciated.
