[Bug] No essences, Can't build some buildings

I'm having a problem where whenever I settle a new town it has 0 essences, regradless of how many there actualy were in the tiles where I placed it.

Another problem I am currently having is that I'm unable to build some buildings for no apparent reason (celric/shrine and certain specialised conclave buildings)

This only seems to affect cities founded by me, any cities I capture from the AI can build all the buildings and have essences.

I'm not sure what is causing the first problem, but your towns having zero essence is causing the second problem. Some buildings, such as the cleric, require essence in the city before you can even build them.

Providing a save and debug (right after building the city) would help the developers greatly in looking into this issue.

Ok I figured out the problem, I thought all the essences in the area surrounding the city you build would cunt towards the city essencse count, not just the tile it was founded on!

It's an easy mistake to make, especially if one plays such games as Master of Magic, or the Civilization series. There are some good gameplay videos that might help out in the basics. Check up on Youtube.
