Disabaling Superweapons

Dear Devs, please add the abilty to turn off Superweapons in the final release. IMO, when playing (at least in singleplayer) dealing with the effects they cause is just tedious. Having to repopulate half of my plantes in a 2v2v2v2 because the AI only wants to fire at me is damn annoying. Thankies x)

total agree, its annoying trying to play a no super weapons game but not really having a way to stop..."that guy"

While I don't really find it a problem, at this rate I just might have to make a no super weapon mod for the karma, due to all the requests for it...

I do not really mind the super weapons in general, but what ticks me off is how many that the AI builds. It just makes the game not as enjoyable as it should be in a single player mode.

SuperWeapon are so annoying when you play against AI, even at normal.

In my first game (in the beta) after some hours the AI started to SPAM me with superweapon attack and it never stopped. It's really hard to colonize planet when you have to deal with the "culture superweapon".

 

I also wish an option to disable them because the AI abuse it a lot.

The best way to prevent superweapon spam at this point in the beta is to make sure that before the start of a game the AI behaviors are set to anything but Fortifier or Random (since Random allows for a chance an AI will still play as Fortifier), since the Fortifier AI tends to spam superweapons way more often than any other AI type does.

Been a number of threads like this one so far, and I agree that some sort of toggle needs to be added.

Personally I like the idea of adding a toggle where you can turn them off, allow a specific number(1,2,4,8), or allowing unlimited super weapons.  And I Definitely like the idea of not allowing super weapons to fire from one star system to another, that just seems out of place, and it is irritating.

This might be a fair idea, however, spamming starbases to prevent loss of ownership of a planet isn't a bad idea =p expensive but not a bad idea.
