No, it's the recommended spec. If you ask us what OS we "recommend" you play the game on, we're telling you Windows 7 64-bit.
Well, since you recommend 4gb ram, your Win7 x64 is the wrong choice
4 gb ram : 2 gb ram for Win7 64 bit and 2gb for all application ( sins, anti-virus, steam, impulse, and any other program who is running )
4 gb ram : 1 gb ram for Win7 32 bit and 3 gb for all application ( in these case, sins have the potential to reach his own limit who is 2gb )
A computer with 4gb ram and Win7 x64 will reach faster a out-of-memory using sins that the win7 32 bit... in fact, the game can minidump before it reach his 2gb limit... more, since sins is a 32 bit application, on 64 bit OS, a "translation" layer called wow64 run between the OS and the application... it somehow lightly decrease the performance of the 32 bit application...
By the way, what version of win7 x64 do you recommend? Starter is only 32 bit, Home basic only support 8 gb ram, Home Premium will allow to enjoy my 16 gb ram... as for Starter, Basic and Prenium, they only support one of my two processor... need to jump to professional ( over 300 euro ) for support my second processor...
Please, explain me why do i need to move from my xp pro x64 to win7 x64... unless having a OS using a huge amount of memory and resource for a cute desktop with some 3D effect is a advantage??? One last question, is Stardock on some Microsoft paylist for promote their newer product???
If you wish recommend people to use 64 bits OS for sins, first step is too make sins 64 bit... in so case, it will be a real improvement on performance...
