Shut Up!

Yes we know the pantheon has issues, we don't have mod support or replays. Yet. No, *insert demigod* is not overpowered, no the connection is not worse than other games. No Demigod is not dead, no it will not fall because LoL or whatever is released, and no Demigod was not rushed out. Everything that you want to say, has already been said or is most likely stupid.

 

I know it has been two rough months for the community, but why is everyone whining? That some other games work better on your computer says nothing; I have a lot of problems with other games while Demigods plays just great.

Whining and complaining had always been the way human society had pushed forward, and form the basis of the democracy and politics.

If there's no love from the community no one would have cared and whined. Because people cared they complained.

So, what's wrong with whining? I can see no disadvantages.

Praise is good ocassionally but too much praise is bad. Too much complain is never bad. Nothing is perfect and there are always ways for improvement.

Demigod Rocks!!!

LoL can suck my dick with it's kiddiecartoonstyle...

 

I have no problems with demigod at all, i didn't even configure my router and i can connect to everyone since the last patch.

demigod has almost never crashed (i don't alt-tab a lot when in a game lobby^^)

i don't  care about stats and pantheon, so everything is just fine for me...

DG is now officially in a state where i can recommend it to all my friends.

Exactly.  If everyone hated the game they'd just stop playing and never come back, not go to the forums and complain about it.

I don't think whining and complaining have always moved society forward, at least never when it's done without perspective. Problem is when people think that it is the most effective way to do things and it then trickles down to every other aspect of life. Such as the woman who felt that her not getting the burger she wanted warrented a 911 phone call (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZ12Ry-hD6I). Being constructive, giving well though out ideas and executing those idea IS how to improve society; MLK being a prime example. But people just automatically assume "If I complain enough I'll get what I want." That simply isn't true in all cases. Sorry people whining about how a game is broken isn't on the same level as civil rights and the corralation between the 2 I just don't see. Kinda like the movie star who complains a certain expensive water they may not be getting when in africa there is people who would be happy with anything to drink. The whining only works in 1 sector of our population, they are called babies, simply because they have no other method of communication.

I would have to disagree with this.  To imply that everyone is perfectly balanced this early in the games life is sillyness.  Blizzard was releasing balance tweaks for starcraft for YEARS.

Tweaks aren't always done to "fix" something. Sometimes they are done to slightly change something to keep the game somewhat interesting. For example, in WoW, there have been a lot of healing changes to spells and mana regeneration the make the game more interesting, but to say broken, nope. Slightly overpowered, perhaps. I don't know the main reason for the changes but I can totally see changes being done to a popular game to keep it for getting stale.

Yes I have nothing against that. What I was referring to was more constructive criticism than complain. As far as I have seen, most posts here on the forum are constructive criticisms than whine, whine being those with topic all being capital and DG X is OP without reasoning.
