There are just too many bad pugs. I've decided that a 5-0 kill rule is autoquit.
If the combined team is 5-0 before they get a single kill, i leave 100% of games. These games are simply too winnable.
I try to stick around to the end even if my team is doing badly, unless I'm the only non AI left on my team then I (usually) bow out, occasionally there's some great matches where one side sticks around even though they're losing hard, only to make a huge comeback resulting in a lot of fun for both sides.
If you quit as soon as you get spanked by the enemy perhaps you shouldn't be playing a pretty competitive multiplayer game?
Yes, you are a stubborn SOB
Why the hell is there two threads, pretty much completely identical? Look Infinite, if you want to make it appear as if you had support, at least change around a little of the wording so that some of us actually get fooled into thinking that there was another person supporting you.Seriously? An autoquit for 0-5 players? First of all, if you want to play with players that are competent, then get good enough to play with them. Play a lot, get your name known, and join some PUGs. Or just play Pantheon/Skirmish a lot. Second of all, 0-5 autoquit would be completely unhelpful to newer players and pretty much just decimate Demigod's community overnight.
Why don't you quit when you're up 5-0 and when you state you quit when you lose 0-5? Think about it and it's probably the same reason.
Man, you know you're an argumentative person when you feel the need to go back and forth with people who are, for the most part, agreeing with you with the only difference really being when we choose to quit (mine being relative, yours being a hard-and-fast rule).

Pretty childish thread to make imo. Go play the game.
5 deaths per player is my rule till arround 15 mins
...sigh...This game really is a bunch of sallys.Last night me (tb) and 2 oaks were getting our butts kicked but we still stuck it out till the end.You people really have issues if you quit because you're losing. Theres always away to turn the situation around if you talk to your allies.
no i have issues when someone plays so shitly that they charge at enermys not getting the kill barely dmging them and dieing then geting me killed because i tried to save him
that is my problem dieing and getting the kill is fine but dieing with out doing anything is wasteful it is worse then having a comp sometimes
You guys need to read more carefully. There is a critical difference between this thread and http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355042 and that small difference is the whole point and also the parody plus massive sarcasm. (I feel like I'm explaining a joke)
People who support leaving because a certain loss "is a waste of time" never think about the opposite situation (a certain win being a waste of time), or become indignant when asked to. As Shadow has shown, it's because these people really only care about winning, nothing else. Which is pretty stupid (or egotistical) for an online multiplayer game where you're just as likely to lose as to win.
I am. I know it's hard to shatter your world views but consider it. You were taught that winning games is a "good" thing.
you were also taught that money is real.
Lol, Its fine you can have your opinions. But now you've just nullified all of your rage quitting propaganda.
Now you're just being silly. I don't know anyone who thinks playing a hopeless game is entertaining. A game is fun only if you have a chance at winning. Games cease to be fun when the outcome has already been determined. And yes, that includes when you're dominating the other team as well. Victory becomes an unfun grind at that point. Though, I stay in those situations because I get favor, not because it's fun.
Simply put, award more favor for losing if you want people to stay in games they know they're going to lose.
I've never been a big fan of sarcasm on the internet... or anywhere really... and littering the forums with a thread intended just to patronize another poster seems childish... bah well.
In case you haven't noticed - the original post is parody and not serious in any way. I do not quit as soon as my team gets 5-0 because that is just stupid. Just as stupid as quitting if your team was 0-5.
That's may be true, but I've never seen a single person on the winning side leave because the game "wasn't fun" when they were dominating. If this was right then you'd see about the same ratio, yeah? Oddly, across the online multiplayer universe it doesn't seem to be the case.
It's additionally to expose the completely ridiculous logic that it's ok to quit when losing because the game is a "waste of time." Playing while losing should be just a waste of time as playing while winning, but not a single person quits while winning. The logic is flawed - people need to just suck it up when it appears they are losing and finish the game. The justification is bogus.
Should suffice to post your opinion in the original thread and call it good at that.
so is your logic, when everyone in the game knows the outcome of the game, WHY WASTE 20MINS TRYING TO PUSH TO THE ENEMY CITADEL?
even when your winning its a massive waste of time.
So they are adding a concede button for people to lazy to finish a game...Dumb-sauce.
There's a key difference.
If everyone knows the outcome of the game then the losing team can concede, and probably will. That's fine! (*blink tag here*)
Then there's the more common case - if YOU are the only one who "knows" the outcome of the game. You don't get to ruin it for everyone because you *think* it's a waste of time.
Because you don't immediately quit when you think you're winning, why do it when you think you're losing?
Concede button is fail. Makes the game so lazy people don't have to finish it out.
Well, it's slightly better than just having them all leave.
Which in turn is better than having just one of them leave. (Unless there still isnt the autowin if you're playing against AI feature)
