So after days of not being able to play multiplayer, I finaly join a skirmish in less than 15min.
I played a lot of single player so I know how each heroes works and which items to get. Problem is, I never got to spend much money.
I got paired with a newbe that proceded to suicide himself 4 times in the first 10min, making any come back impossible.
I still played the whole game being a good sport only to find I get 10 favor points while the opposite team get almost 200 each.
I get two issues I'd like to believe will solved themself the more I play.
First, I understand everyone need to start somewhere, but is there supposed to be any kind of pairing AI on skirmish? It really felt like I was playing a 2v1 with a bad bot and I'm hoping over time good player get to fight good player and new one don't get raped by players with lots of experience.
Second, I've found that out pretty fast in single player, but are the first 3-4 kill has important on the net has in single player? I had almost no money being unable to kill my opponent while they got buffed pretty fast with only a couple of mistakes made by my teammate.
Basicly I'm wondering if I got unlucky with my first match or should I expect all my game to be determined that fast yet last so long. I find no interest (once the favor reset bug fixed) to play a whole match as soon as I can't expect to win anymore.
Since I don't want to sound utterly negative, I'd like to suggest solutions to those issues.
I think there should be a pairing system that makes you play with players of similar favor ranking. This way, the playing field should be a litle more even on the skill set of the opponents.
I also believe the bonus for a DG kill is way too high. To make up for a kill, you need to get something like 5 minutes of gold ticks, ticks your opponents also get. I believe the bounty on DG should be lowered. It starts way to high and it has a strange way of scaling. I think it would be better if you'd need around a 10 kills advantage before the other team has no chance of recover. Right now, 3 kills is a done deal.
What do you guys think?
