Yeah what's with surrender anyway? Quit/surrender it should all be the same.

You can still get a win. Just finish off the game regularly. Kill the planets.

they actually asked not to mention these types of things on the forums (one of the stickies in general forum), thats why my posts that refer to this/fixing this, never directly mention how it works, however I pmed blair.

hopefully fixed by 1.03, the ICO profiles are useless atm, you cant tell how many wins are actually wins..etc.

It isin't like there is any sort of real leaderboards anyway. All that really matters is the number of games played, because it is logical to assume someone who has played say... 100 games, is going to be better than someone who has played 5. However according to the new patch notes, even if the entire other team uses quit instead of surrender, the non-quitting team will win.

Oh wow, this is a very old trick and it's been around forever. I remember this happening back in the days of the original Command and Conquer games. How to avoid a loss? Just unplug your net connection. These days it's even easier because it can literally be a button or switch away that disables a wireless connection. There isn't really any solution to this other than to do a time-based judgment. Depending on the size of the map, Ironclad should use their data and determine the average length of battle on a small, medium, and large map. Then respectively cut each average in half or down to a quarter. Then apply that as a rule so that when the game effectively goes over that amount of time any disconnect is viewed as a surrender. That would be the smart thing to do instead of just globally marking every disconnecter as a loser or no-score.
