
Sins of a titan
this is the grand project i am planning once the game gets finished and released.
It is a total conversion based on the universe and ideas i create with my artwork
and stories.
The conversion is planned originally with three factions and set past the war
between the 2nd empire and the returning AIs.
The three factions originally planned are as following:
Remnants of the second empire [R2E]This is the technologically most advanced "race" in the known universe,
the evolutionary successors to our mankind, a spacefaring civilisation for
millenia.
Crushed by Sins of their past they are only a faint image of the former glory of the 2nd Empire of man.
Their whole technology will be based around their capital ships (the titans)
in a pyramid like scheme where you can unlock over the course of you research more
advanced models.
The Titans are the most advanced warships ever concieved, a whole fleet in one ship,
but now that the war is lost extremely rare, hard and ardous to construct even with
state of the art of technology, but even harder to find pilots for those monsters,
compatible mind that will fuse with the cold metal to become machine spirits.
Their frigate and cruiser offensive capability will be very limited and they will have mostly support roles to the Titan warships to balance their abilities and improve their performance.
Even though they have the most powerful Ships availiable they will struggle, because they can´t have them in every place at once.
While they can easily crush any opposition encountered they will have a hard time defending all their borders with only a handful vessels.

The Returning AIs [TBS]The black scourge that was created by man, then locked away in subspace centuries ago
in the first AI war.
Now freed by the hybris of the same they have all but forgotten.
Even though their technology is centuries behind what was availiable to the 2nd Empire, they still managed to crush them with their vast adaptability, incredible replication technology and ruthless exploitation of all ressources they can get.
The AIs employ a swarm like strategy, using cheap, replacable drones to overcome the enemy,
aswell as specialised task forces to cripple the enemy.
Rather than an interlinked technology tree they will follow three distinct doctrines that
allow different boni and advanced ships.
They came over the galaxy like locusts, destroying all biological life in their path.
Even if you manage to hold or destroy the trails of their expedition fleets in these solar systems commander, the far greater threat just looms beyond the horizon.
The independant/lost worlds [LW] These are the colonies of the 2nd empire that were seperated in the war and have lost
all contact. With their Titan defenders destroyed and almost bombed into oblivion they have suffered through a dark age and are rebuilding what they once had.
Almost ignored by both parties they now find themselves between two giants.
They have to forge an alliance if they are not to be squashed under the heel of
one of the other factions.
Coming from the most various cultures they are a very diverse faction, thats uses "what works" may it be knowledge still carried on from the empire or old technology reinvented with new means.
They don´t have the numbers of the AI forces nor the technology of the Titans, but they have survived the war once before and they intend to do so, again.
Using their skills as former diplomats, traders or pirates their makeshift fleets
will do what is necessary to defend what they hold dear: Freedom!
Using the powers of subversion, stealth and even terrorism they can weaken the giants until they fall.
As you can see, it will be quite a bit of work, but i am very confident to do this.
Personally i plan to do most (if not all) of the codework, balancing and general ruffing through the files, but i also need your help:
Although i am not bad with photoshop i have just begun learning with 3D Programs, so i will need all the help i can get in that department:

If you can do this and are willing to work with me on this mod, ther will be surely something for you to do!
But even if you don´t have any artistic skill whatsoever you can contribute:
We will be needing betatesters, bugfixers, complainers, critzisers, fanbois.
Whatever feedback we can get, whatever ideas and suggestions you might have,
they are welcome!
There will be a long phase with an unfinished product and support is essential.
Although i have already a few designs and can provide sketches for most things i plan
you can make a difference.
As this is an original TC we all can influence the final look and are not bound by
others regulations.
