Life Happens NOT to be kicking up her heels.....

So I have danced can can for several years. Sometimes we get good costumes....and sometimes not. They have been black and purple, Hot pink and neon yellow, too-revealing in pink and black, and most recently peacock blue. We have bought cheap costumes and expensive costumes, but as in most things...you get what you pay for.

This year, we were told they are *gasp* $22! I think they expected us to jump up and down, cheering that we saved $100 on each one....but sadly no. I cna't find a picture of an adult wearing them...and I dont' think I will ever put this on...but for your shock and amazement, this is what they expect us to wear.

Oh yeah, we are supposed to walk around all night and "flirt". I think not. It was fun while it lasted but I think the time has come for me to put my fishnets away (at least till Sunday) and depart gracefully.

I do want to say that I'm not leaving *only* becuase of the costume. I'm not THAT petty. But last year was a disaster, I want to go to school, and do trapeze (In addition to everything else) so I think that this was just the breaking point for me.

I thought the blue dresses were beautiful. I don't know that I would be going for the $22 version either. I say do what you love, if that's trapeze then swing life away.

I don't think you're being petty at all! The dresses in those pics are great!

I think whoever thought it woudl be cute for adult women to prance around in kid sized clothes is sick and wrong.
