Soldering Question

I would like to know if i research a tech that gives me a soldering bonus AFTER i've loaded my troop transport, if I will have the bonus when i attack a planet with that particular transport.

Also, i traded an AI for that Armor (can't spell it) trade item, the one that gives a 15% increase to HP, but now it doesnt appear on either of our trade screens and its not on any of my planets. Do i actually HAVE this item now, or did i just take it away from the AI? And similar to the above question, will all of my ships have greater HOP or just the ones i built after getting the item?

Yes. You now have the 15% HP bonus. You should be able to see it in the amount of hit points in ships already built. This bonus doesn't appear when you're in the Shipyard. The reason you can't see it as a trade item is that you both have the item and so it can no longer be traded.

What I'm not sure about is once you've received a trade good whether or not you have the rights to trade the item to someone else. If you do then if you bring up a trade screen with a different race (and they haven't already traded for the item) then the item should show up as something you can trade.

It doesn't. Which is why they are great trades, because they don't go any farther than the race you trade them to. I never trade the military ones to the AI unless its a race about to go under and needs help.

I also like to trade every good and save treaties until I see a race about to get conquered. That way I get the treaties back and it doesn't matter if I traded them Xintinium (sp) armor and other goodies.
