moonbases

I think when you colonise a planet with a moon you should be able to build a moon base with four options:
1. millitary moonbase increase of firepower of ships in orbit and resistance to invasion
2. mining moonbase increase of social and military production
3. trading moonbase increase money made from trade to this planet
4. research moonbase incease research output of this planet

please tell me what you think of this idea

Its a cool idea, but it would seem more viable just to have starbase. It's more hassle with having to land and take-off from the moon since there would still be gravity. Also, large battleships can't really dock on the moon since it would have to land and landing would be hazardous. With a starbase, the ship will just have to pull up without dealing to much with that annoying gravity thing.

I like this idea. It would certainly add another layer of choice when considering potential colonies (ie. whether or not the planet in question has a moon).
Also, it makes sense that there would be some sort of military,economic, or scientific presence on the moons of various worlds.

Great idea.

if there is a moon base it should be like another planet with like 2 squares

Moon bases are a good idea.

I think that you should also be able to put bases on class 0 planets too, since there are so many of them. The bases shouldn't give huge bonuses, but it would have a reason for existance other than taking up space. .
