I'll start by saying that I really have enjoyed playing this game so far. However, there were a couple things that got on my nerves:
1. There are no auto-pilot lines plotted in the main view window, though I think they're in the minimap but too hard to see. I am constantly asking myself, "where the hell is my ship going? " And yes, there is a destination point (which could be off the screen, or aliased for another ship), and yes, there is a destination coord (I don't want to work with numbers), and yes, there is a waypoint system (which is very nice, but requires some setup), but it would be absolutely fantastic to see a simple line to the destination point. Civ 4 does this very well, you can right click and hold and it'll draw a line and show you how many turns to get there. Galactic civ draw these lines for trade routes, but doesn't for fleets?
2. When working with multiple ships in the same cell, the interface gets annoying. If I want to select a ship and operate on it, I have to move it to a separate grid cell, and then do it. So if I want to, say, upgrade a stack of ships, it becomes a real chore.
