Sorian, you're cool. We all love you. And I'm not directing this towards you in particular. But please. PLEASE test your stuff before releasing it. It's not enough for it to work in theory. If you annouce a fix, it has to actually work. This is a really unprofessional slip-up by SD & GPG. Here's hoping the new code will be officially implemented soon...
Scufo
Holy crap, I can't believe they actually removed the new favor items. First time I've ever seen a developer actually reverse a desision based on feedback. You guys are awesome.
+1 for scrapping the new favors. UB was already the scariest demigod to have to deal with in a straight fight. With SotF, it'll be run-on-sight. No questions asked. I applaud the TB fix, maybe he'll be viable now. We'll see. In truth, though, he was broken for way too long. This is another one of those "should have been in at launch" things. QoT changes are dissappointing. Entourage buffs should be moved entirely to Summon Shambler, with Entourage doing something completely di
durr hurr qot #2 durrrrrrrrrr
Q: What is the future of the Queen of Thorns? A: We have a request in to buff her.
Yesssssssssssss
I noticed no one has mentioned Blood Soaked Wand. It shouldn't get overlooked. It's actually a really good favor item. I think it's up there with BotF, BotS, Swift Anklet, and the other "viable" favors.
Hey cool, a GPG poster. So the silence has finally been broken. Anyway, I'm a little confused about the TB auto-attack thing. It was by design that he can't move while attacking...but a new animation is in the works to allow him to do just that? Whatever, don't really care so much either way. Good to know the patch is coming along.
The bug is actually much worse than I thought: Shamblers have a base health of 625 health. When you buy Hauberk (+200 health to Minions) and a Sigil (+100 health to Minions) and you make a Shambler, it is summoned with only 475(!) health. Less than its base health! Moreover its maximum health is only 775 instead of 925! Actually, minion health even depends on which order you equip the items! <br
Typically, you can take the store price, divide it by 2 and that’s what the publisher gets. On digital distribution, you take the price and multiply it by 0.7 and that’s what the publisher gets. Since it’s on Impulse, multiply it by .98 instead.
Wait, what? Stardock gets 98% of each Demigod purchase?
You know what I wanna try? Parasite Egg. Parasite Egg seems really good. Sorry. Carry on.
Ah, the obligatory "QoT is fine" post. Sorry, she's not. Play as her some and you'll see that early game shield is about all she has going for her. She's squishy, weak, slow, and insanely mana dependent. Most of her skill tree is completely useless. She is inarguably the worst late-game demigod.
This is going official. Calling it now.
i think the slow down idea was to be something like " when you are hit with brambles on, the attacker is slowed by X%". I think its fair if sedna can remove neg conditions with her spell and qot can apply negative conditions to her attackers.
Agree completely. It even fits her character. I would love to see something like this.
I will lol when September rolls around and not a single piece of 1.2 has been released. I will also cry. Secretly.
^Lol. I sometimes wonder if the devs ever actually tried to use Shamblers or Yetis. They're so inferior to Night Walkers and Spirits it's laughable...
Good ideas in this thread. But what about Shamblers? As it stands they will never be useful without a significant boost in HP and damage. They're too expensive as well. IIRC Night Walkers start off with more health than Shamblers. And you can have 10 of them! Really, every one of QoT's moves needs buffing/reworking, with the exception of Ground Spikes. As the others said, even Shield becomes increasingly useless late game, and is clearly inferior to Heal at ranks 3 and
http://www.demigodthegame.com/ The digital download is right there, a little ways down the page.
mrappard, I tested the fix that you linked, and it didn't work. When chasing, TB would repeatedly begin the attack animation but wouldn't follow through. Cody's, on the other hand, worked smoothly.
I've had this probem too, but it's never taken more than a few minutes for login to work correctly again. I figured it was because it needs to wait for you to time out, since the game ended abruptly.
I tried out the mod in the OP, and it definitely seems to work in single player. If I try to go online, it tells me my game doesn't match the current vesion. So no, it doesn't work online. Also, if this thread is to be believed then it is in fact a bug.
Gonna have to jump in and agree with everyone else about the rematch thing. Thinking about it, though, I think having rematches work the way Frogboy said could be okay...if the default behavior was simply for all players to be sent back to the pre-game lobby after a game ends. That's how a lot of games with lobbies work, and it kinda keeps everything flowing, y'know? Really, this seems like a no-brainer. Come on, GPG.
Well, I watched it until it crashed. Looked like a pretty close game. I don't know what the hell Cow was doing at the beginning there, and I LOL'd at Beast suiciding twice. You really should at least get assist credit when that happens.
how do high towers do anything but lengthen the game this thread is full of whiners who lost because they didn't protect their towers god forbid you actually have to do something to keep the other team out of your base
Thanks for making a thread about it.
^Shamblers, lol.
