Yes that's true. At least if you're playing against the AI on "unfair" difficulty or higher, or against another human player. However, if you're playing Tec Loyalist, it's not that hard to play with only capital ships, since your garrison will build your normal ships. But yes, I'm talking about the late game, where money is no object and you can build capital ships in masses. In sins 1, I really loved that my capital ships are special and I have to choose wisely to make them effective. But that feeling isn't there anymore when you can just build a fleet of them that blasts away everything that stands in its way. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a professional who tries to win the game in the first half hour by building a massive number of ships and then trying to overrun the opponent. That was never my intention to play this game. The reason why I play this game is to reach the absolute endgame, where everything is built, everything is explored and just massive fleets collide.
