I own the card game & the version on steam.
I do know that on the forums the cassinova card trait was changed to "get rid of a possible infinite loop"
What I cannot find out is where that idea came up to begin with.
I believe I have the 2016 version card game , but there apparently was a 2015 version.
To have a hook & mermaid infinite loop, that would mean that you would have to bank the mermaid not the card.
If above sentence is right, where did that rule begin at all? I don't see it in the online PDF, i don't see that in the Steam Vesrion even though it is in the "udpate notes" to have fixed that to make game not capable of doing it.
I also have a 2nd version of the rules about "misfire" and even watched videos online people playing it of which I belive to be wrong.
In my reading of it, Misfire would cause ALL other players if they were to draw , select or use a cannon.
In the "other" online rules from the other boxed set it says :
Misfire
Other players cannot target you with a cannon. Instead they must take the top card from one of their own bank stacks and add it to the discard pile.
The keyword there is "cannot target YOU"........so in a 3 or 4 person game , does that mean that a player that draws a cannon, as long as he does not target YOU they could target someone else?
If that is not the case which I believe is right.....why would the game developer go from being pretty clear that all opinion that draw cannons to changing it to "cannot target you" that muddys the waters as it should of read "opponents cannon cannot target ANYONE and must take from their own pile.
When it comes to the version I have for Casanova trait, it says:
When you add the Mermaid to the play area IMMEDIATELY BANK THE CARD selected by the mermaid suit ability. Therefore, you do not activate the Mermaid Suit Ability becasue it was played in the bank, not the play area.
This above clearly does not say USE the car the mermaid selects of which is behind your mermaid card and "use it" it specifics to NOT use it and put it in discard pile.
So why does the Steam version Activate the card that would of been placed in front, then after it uses its ability is only then disparaged to the bank.
Seems either the rules are not wrote accurately, or the steam version is not programmed correctly.....but either way I would like to get to the bottom of all this.
Does anyone know if the 2015 and 2016 versions of this game have any other rules that are worded differently or contradictory? or where to download them?
I might have more examples but Ill leave it at this to see if anyone has any good thoughts about all of this.
I have not tried a mobile version as the android version must not exist anymore and I'm not a apple person.
