Yes. The game is shaping up to be amazing. The only complaint I would have is that there is nothing really new to explore in terms of story and new factions. No forwarding of the lore. Is their a fourth faction coming? Perhaps what was chasing the Vasari?

The game's still in an alpha state, of course there will be many additions to come both in terms of story and perhaps new factions (they have hinted towards it in the Discord server, but not for the 1.0/release version). The derelicts, and some technology and planetary features have already added new pieces to the story though

As you can see in the timeline on the store, Vasari is bound to come in Fall 2023. Again, on the Discord it was hinted that they would arrive with two separate updates and likely in September.

Don't get me wrong. I am enjoying all the new features and the lovely graphics and interface. Very beautiful and smooth as silk. I guess after playing sins1 so much I still say their should be things like random tech trees like stellaris to make the game different throughout every time. I know this is not typical of sins 1. Which basically wants a more RTS strict build and tech order to map out and be as efficient as possible at. Certaintly basically. But I think it would be more fun for scientists to have to research things and discover things by chance.

I know a lot of the discoveries on planets are random but they do not change the course of the game as much. There is less self determination and management to be had their. Having characters like scientists with traits and assigning them though is real direction by the player.

I don't think many people will share this opinion of which direction the game should take. Regarding lore, Sins 1 always had its lore told in either the game guide (which is already present in some form on a website, but I can't find it right now; will expand over time) and the in-game elements such as technologies, abilities, artifacts and planetary features. I'm not talking about changing the course of the game, because you weren't. The story is completely interwoven with the gameplay elements.

It feels like a mimic of other games, slows down the game's pace, and forces me to open a tab for the market when before I could use the market right away. The ai somehow monopolizes the market if they sit right on the traders, giving them the advantage. Last, playing with any passive ai in a rts feels noncompetitive. I would prefer if there were an option to turn off factions and pirates. I like to focus on the fight.

I literally have the opposite opinion and would love to have neutral factions present in the game that build out their gravity wells, but don't expand from the start of the game, and have to conquer them on my way to the rest of the system.

There is a separate item you have to buy to monopolize them; culture gives you extra resources automatically.

I'm aware of all the mechanics of culture and how to monopolize. I know that part of the community likes minor factions, but most 5s players dislike it. I play minor factions sometimes in Sins 1. There should be an option to turn off pirates and minor factions somewhere down the line in development. I think that satisfies both parties, casual and competitive players.

5s = 5 versus 5 skilled. It's a community of sins players with big egos that prevent new players from joining the experience. In fairness, new players tend to lose 5 mins into the game, not metaphorically either. It's not a fun experience when a player, krusher usually, rushes your hw with 3 Marza and 30 lights frigates when you have less than 1k hours in the game.
