Another good tutorial. 

A couple points:

1. In order to get 5 slots for tech choices, you must have a Technology Minister (otherwise there are only 4).  New players may be confused by only 4 slots at first.
2. You mentioned that the Memory Center only gives 1 tech point - but in fact it gives none at all.  It gives 5% per adjacency, and nothing at all on its own (though it does cost 1 maintenance).  You do mention this later in the video, where you show the planet percentages, but it is a little bit ambiguous. 
3. (edit) also, many of the special "one per civ" buildings give higher adjacencies (2.5% vs 1% / level), it is useful to look at these to maximize adjacencies on those buildings.

I find the Mimot challenging as well.  I've found that I have to place more happiness sectors with them, as they grow so fast they reach planet capacity far before I can move them off.  And of course, food is more of an issue for them as well.  

It can be difficult to get enough Calm ideology, but the last one of those removes overcrowding disapproval, which helps the Mimot tremendously.

Playing the Mimot has been the most pivotal in lessons for me, in managing food and crime.

I don't like the Drengin at all.  Don't know how to play them.

I suppose I am also eagerly awaiting the new release.

Influence means almost nothing without financial gain, and it seems this is now reflected upon my immature strategies.

Regarding the Memory Center, would it be a good idea to reserve a central spot for it even though its adjacency bonus is quite low? In my last game I got an 80 percent boost from it which was by far the highest individual building but with a better location I could probably push that to 100. 

Probably sometime this coming week, i.e. the week after the Thanksgiving holiday (in the USA), since they just released a list of the new changes/additions/new Races/ corrections, etc.

I am getting a +420% bonus to research on my HW from Bob (that is correct Four Hundred Twenty %). (I am getting other boosts to Bob from neighboring tiles).

Not only that, ALL of my Core Worlds are getting at least a 300% to their research from the Bob Wonder.

My next best gain was a +83% from Four Research Districts.

The Bob Wonder is by far the most useful single Research Building or Wonder in GC IV.

I haven't gone for Bob yet, now for sure I will.  I cannot invest enough energy to do so until the newest release.

For .65 it's the Arceans and Drath.
