Problem installing Political Machine 2008

I recently bought PM 2008 off Amazon. When I inserted the disc and reached the "setup" InstallWare Wizard, it failed and stated there was a "Fatal error during installation". I tried running the Wizard on 7, Vista and XP (my computer uses Windows 10), but they all ended with the same error. How is this fixed?

Do you have a serial number that came with the disk? It is a 30 alphanumeric code that is required to complete registration. Today, I completed installation of PM2008 on Windows 10 (64-bit/2020-04 build). Try contacting Stardock Support [https://www.stardock.com/support/].

I had to do some troubleshooting to get it to register with Stardock servers.
