The price paid for object desktop is only one year. It is a yearly subscription that we pay for the software. Nowhere in the stardock site it is mentioned. One will come to know about this only after payment and when loggin in. Beware of this before buying the products.

It's a yearly membership. If you decide not to renew you can keep the current versions of the software you have.
On Stardock's homepage, there is this (in white highlighted area):
Wouldn't be wrong if that green button read: "Subscribe Now".
