110 turns into the game and this is all the AI built on its home planet

We were at war since nearly the beginning of the game and it never even garrisoned troops.  It did build transports, but I was blockading the planet so the transports never made it.

At least it built the central bank on the wealth multiplier.

What difficulty are you playing at?      I've never seen a Home planet so poorly built out....

Did they come at you with Large Hulls with 8 dmg worth of lasers equipped while they have/had the resources to waste on useless crap?

 

I swear when they did crusade they borked something that made the AI play awful. But since crusade is much slower grindy game compared to gc3 the average player probably doesn't even notice it.

 

I am at 300 turns all godlike and even trying to mod the game so the Ai cannot build garbage they still are making garbage.   I think since the AI absolutely needs to spam ships it will make the cheapest crappiest ship all game just so it can spam ships.

 

Sorry i sound like a broken record on this complaint but im glad it isn't just me noticing when i step back this game is very broken.

Did you auto resolve your invasion?

I saw similar things on the one godlike game I started. Auto-invasion might be an explanation for improvements missing.

Change the Prototype Blueprints, the AI still builds these as if they still had vanilla stats. They dont they now have the crappiest weapons. BeamWeaponEnhanced, KineticWeaponEnhanced, MissileWeaponEnhanced are the offenders. Just chnage them to BeamWeapon/KineticWeapon/MissileWeapon

Gifted - my next game will be godlike because so far, this has not been a challenge.

i'm getting the same vibe. I've played through 5 games now and never once felt threatened. Mostly the ai just likes to play footsies until I get up the steam to come over and flatten them.
