Problem: Ships not appearing in available designs when saved as templates

Hello folks,

 

A few of the custom ships I have downloaded from the Steam Workshop will not appear in available designs page when they are saved as templates.

 

But they do appear when they are just saved.

 

I am hoping to make a custom shipset from these models so need to be able to save them as templates as well as play with them.

 

Anyone have any ideas how I could do this?

The best I know is to save the ship you like as a ship, then re-open it and save it as a template.  If someone else has a better answer, I will be glad to see it.
