Beta 4 My Thoughts, a Giant Step Forward

Let me say, beta 4, is a giant step forward, the game is coming along nicely.  The crafting and enchanting adds a whole new dimension to the game, have really enjoyed the Tinker sovereign, and the Dwarf Lord Champion, Drogon, flat out rocks!

Bringing back shades of Masters of Magic, in particular with enchantments based upon your spell book selections, which is a nice choice with respect to the game's design.

I did not realize until I watched one of the developer chats, that are live streamed, then reposted on Youtube, that there was a bug with the Overwhelming Strength strait, I can confirm, though, that I did see the combat value go up significantly for the army with Drogon.  The only other bugs, I encountered, were the double stacking of enemy archer units during combat.  Also, playing the mountain pass map, the AI seemed to have serious path finding issues, I was allied with Pariden, Frozen Realm, Imperial Remnant, and the wraiths.  My allies seemed to enjoy clogging up the roads that I created, as opposed to engaging the Sorcerer King's forces.

The game crashed a couple of times, but suspect this is probably more a function of my older PC hardware.

Can't wait for Beta 5!

I find I can barely play Fallen Enchantress now, after playing Sorcerer King.  Keep up the good work!

Yes, it has to be said that SK towers over FE_LH, casting a great shadow.  I would say it's around 10 times more fun to play and it's still in beta.  :)

I like SK, a lot. That being said, I still prefer FE:LH. Only because I prefer that gameplay style.

FE:LH with all of the SK improvements would be phenomenal! SK really gives me great hope for the next standard fantasy 4x from Stardock. I doubt it will be anytime soon, but I will be champing at the bit to slap down founders money on it when it does get announced someday!
