1) After playing for a long time movement in the tactical map became broken. No green squares showed, and most of the time I wasn't allowed to move a unit. I could still attack, although I had to let the computer choose the route. Reloading fixed this.
2) After taking the dragon eyes to the statue, I tried the battle and got annihilated. So I reloaded and declined the battle. I then got prompted to take the battle just about any time anything significant happened, e.g. start of turn, after casting a spell. Is this as designed? It was quite annoying, bearing in mind it was another fifty turns before I was strong enough to fight the battle.
3) Minor issue: reap seems to be calculated at the end of the turn, which is confusing when considering counterattacks. In other words, it seems to be possible to "reap" even though you have full hitpoints, because the computer knows that you're going to get hit by the counterattack.
4) Plenty of other people have said this, but I think plate armour is pointless at the moment. It needs to be only one choice to be able to use chain and plate, so at least magic or found plate armour actually has some use other than to sell. Giving warriors and defenders automatic access to it would give them a boost, which would also be good as they're generally much less useful than mages.
5) Quests should not disappear if you decline them when you first move a character to that area. Again I know other people have raised this, and I realise that the way they're designed you can decide to complete them later after initially triggering them. It's far from intuitive to accept them and then ignore them though.
6) It would be helpful to have a heros list where you can click on them to select them. I had a nightmare once in a large empire when I loaded a couple of days later and couldn't find the hero I was looking for. He was stationed in a settlement; clicking on fifteen different settlements and then going through the defenders was painful.
I should say I've been thoroughly enjoying the game, I think it's a great improvement on Fallen Enchantress. The changes to hero recruitment were good, as were the new classes. I personally didn't mind the encumbrance system, but the new system is simpler, even if plate armour still needs some work.
