[Minimod]Resetting Titan Levels

http://wincustomize.com/explore/sins_mods/159/

The controversial thing about Rebellion has always been the titans. As it is now, titans will always be rebuilt at the level it was destroyed at, a measure that attempts to prevent serious games from turning into a "Whoever loses their titan last wins" game. However, for many single players who prefer long games, this also turned the late game into a painful grind as the AI keeps rebuilding powerful level 10 titans every ten or twenty minutes.

After helping out the Sins of a Galactic Empire mod with its titan spawning system, it occurred to me that there is a relatively easy way to change this mechanic however. This prompted me to make a minimod for my Enhanced 4X Mod that would destroy a titan the instant it was built... only to then spawn a new one at the same planet, which will always be level 1. It maybe a crude method, but besides giving extra XP to any enemies that happen to be in the gravity well at the time, it works pretty well. Thus, I figured this would be popular with many other players, so I've decided to release this as a stand alone mod.

Enjoy

That's a good idea. I'm not sure which I prefer (level continuity or level reset). I think I might try this out.

Yeah, it just depends what kind of game you are playing. Though I guess all the people who really didn't like titans keeping their levels left, because this hasn't gotten much attention.  ;)

Is there anyway you could release a up to date version of this?  I tried using what is provided but it crashes when enabled.  I understand you have a few projects your tackling so its no big deal if this one is indefinitely back burned.

I now only keep this up to date if as a minimod in my Enhanced 4X mod. I no longer support this stand alone vanilla version.
