Will the expansion to FE (or the next expansion to WoM) still be free for early WoM buyers?

When WoM came out, Stardock promised early WoM buyers two free expansions. Does FE count as both expansions?

I understand that FE went above and beyond a normal expansion and that Stardock has 2 years of development to recover from. If Stardock needs to change their stance, that's fine. I just want to know now so that I don't get my hopes up.

You know how it goes.
Game company releases game.  They put out a series of bug fix patches for a bit and then they move on until it’s time to get you to buy an expansion pack or two until it’s time to do a sequel. If the initial game gets panned or negative reviews, it’s typically abandoned.
And people wonder why gamers have gotten so cynical.
As people in our community know, that’s not how we do things here.
Those of you who hang out here have seen us discussing the upcoming version 1.1 of Elemental: War of Magic.  This is a partial screenshot (right side of my screen) of some of the UI updates we’re doing.
For those of you who want to try v1.1 in beta, we plan to put out the first beta in about a week.
Until the end of THIS MONTH (October 31), anyone who purchase Elemental: War of Magic, will get the first two expansions for the game for free (as well as our normal long-term support for the game itself).
The purpose of this entry is to provide space for people who have questions on what we’re doing now versus in future updates.

Including me :D

I did check the status in the steam store, and very few people are playing FE yet. I hope the sales will be good.

Release is obviously an important part of sales, but I think with E:wom in the past many will wait for reviews and other opinions before taking the plunge.

I'm one of those weirdos that bought WoM in 2011, but I knew what I was getting into. :) The $10 discount on FE was a nice bonus. I couldn't care less about the problems people have with the personalities of the developer(s) so long as the products they create are quality. I much prefer a publisher/developer (even one that includes blowhards) who is very active on the forums to one that is completely silent after firing each development team with each successive game (I'm not naming names--Ubisoft.) Thankfully, Stardock doesn't have Derek Smart on their team, and the vast majority of their games have been very good, which puts them ahead of 90% of the competition.

Name a gaming company that has never created at least one turd or at least a semi-turd. Well, OK, Looking Glass Studios doesn't count.

It did have a good first day.

This game has a good bit of baggage to overcome to the general public, but it's good enough to overcome that baggage if folks are willing to give it a chance.  I have a feeling this game is going to do better then average in the long term, though it might be really hurt in the short term due to free copies+ baggage

One thing in its favor, is this is the first new major Stardock game on Steam.  A lot of Steam folks never played War of Magic, so they might judge this on its own merits and ignore the baggage.

If sales are going to be good, I expect it to be a slow burn considering that there has been almost no publicity for this game.  I've seen a couple of very brief "blink and you miss it" mentions at some of the major gaming sites in the past couple of weeks (mainly "Here's what's being released this week" articles that run down a list of several games), but that's about it.  I think when Brad said that reviews will make or break this game, what he was saying is that the bulk of high-profile publicity will come from professional reviews.  If the reviews are favorable then the game has a very good chance of selling well.  If the reviews are bad, it could very well be the end of Stardock as a game developer.
