I think it is reasonable to assume that the game is stable; if Starclad says a bug is fixed, then most likely it is fixed...that is not the part of the review that bothered me...
"Outside of the lack of a singleplayer campaign, about the only criticism that could be levelled at Rebellion is that it’s not much of a looker anymore."
I will grant that the reviewers probably played a newer version...even still, I seriously doubt the game balance is in great shape (though I'd love to be wrong)...the devs clearly were aware of the most glaring balance issues and I am sure they addressed them...however, whether they were addressed adequately has yet to be seen (change does not necessarily imply improvement)...furthermore, some potentially OP or UP elements were completely overshadowed by jumping orkies and nano leach, and the devs (even if they were game balance gods) can't fix things they aren't aware of...
In any case, there are still some things inherited from original sins I'm not very happy with, so I'll probably always be complaining no matter what they do with the rebellion content...in general I find that reviewers don't tend to be good at reviewing game balance, mainly because many balance issues take lots of experience to even notice...
