Novalith cannon: shooting at ships?

hey all, ive been lurking around quite a while, and some of you from the TSOP project might by now recognise my name a bit XD ( or maybe not ;) )

anyway! i had a question to ask, i was fiddling around with the sins a bit and i was trying to make my novalith cannon be able to fire its abbility at capitalships as well as planets.

and i was wondering if i could just change the target parameters and be done with it, or would my sins just explode XD

i know i can change target parameters, but can i just  go PLANETS, CAPITALSHIPS
or do i need to add more lines of code ?

targetFilter
    numOwnerships 1
    ownership "Enemy"
    numObjects 1
    object "Planet"
    numSpaces 1
    space "Normal"
    numConstraints 1
    constraint "IsExplored"

is the original, so could i just do >

targetFilter
    numOwnerships 1
    ownership "Enemy"
    numObjects 2

    object "Planet"

    object "Capitalship"

   numSpaces 1
    space "Normal"
    numConstraints 1
    constraint "IsExplored"

?

Well first it is CapitalShip (other will cause minidump, sins is quite sensitive) and the answer is probabæy both yes and no. the targeting part only change the direction that the cannon points. The cannonshell will then move in that direction, which means that if the capitalship moves then the shell will miss the capital and I don't know more then that (actually planning to make a ship which fires barrages of shells at incomming hyperspace ships :))

Setting the Novalith to be like the Kostura Cannon, in that effect, could work, it could damage the planet AND all large ships in the Gravity well of Said planet.

IDK how the Kostura works, however, so.

I try to keep them all firing at their home worlds which is very costly for them. The shell takes a long time to arrive so if you just took the enemy planet you could be bombed by your own guns a few times.

I hate it when that happens.
