Torch Bearer Fire Auto Attack --

Torch Bearer Fire Auto Attack --

Torch Bearer Fire Auto Attack --

I'll be posting this in various sections of the fourm I want to make sure I get 100% Correct answere.

Question is simple!!

Is Torch Bearer Auto Attack intended to not be able to shoot and run in "Fire Mode"??? Any links to and offical response to this. I find it beyond annoying...

Besides that Why can't we shift "on the fly" ???

Anyone, Anyone at all know if this plans to be fixed or is it just "Oh deal with it from GPG?"

Quoting Misfortune, reply 20Wander if they even have bug managmenent procedures.
See Kestrel's thread from yesterday. They do.

That post only confirms that Stardock has bug reporting procedures.  It does not confirm that GPG has a bug tracking system into place.  One would think that with solid bug tracking system, they wouldn't let simple Lua bugs slide forever.

The fact that they have let bugs like valor and lvl.3 idol priests stay for months, for which the fix has already been proven by the community to be just a few numbers or lines of code change, inspires very little confidence in their bug fixing ability.

I do understand that not all of bugs are easy to fix.  TB auto attack on follow bug may be one of those harder to fix bugs (hard as in more resources needed).  But I don't understand why they don't tackle the simple ones first, fix a dozen of them in a very short time.  That would shut lots of complaints.  Then work on the more demanding ones when resources permit.

Just as a sidenote since you mentioned flags, has anyone else noticed that mana flags also have the same issue?  It won't always happen, but if you contest a mana flag enough times it invariably will.  That being said, the valor flag issue doesn't always take effect for me either.

I think the valor flag always happens the first time it's lost and taken again.  Regardless, these are pretty obvious bugs that could be easily acknowledged as being worked on and time frame given (ex. 1.2 patch, 1.11 patch, etc...).  That would be the professional thing to do - track bugs, evaluate, assign to people, set deadline, plan rollout.

I don't see why I as an end user would need to be aware of their bug tracking system. They could go a route like Valve where submitting bug reports is made simple and easy for the customers, but it's not essential.

Calling GPG's development practices into question just doesn't make sense to me, I see no way they could have made several (5?) AAA titles - none of which were labelled "buggy" in the STALKER mould by the public (except the DG multiplayer issues) - without a good bug tracking system. Therefore I conclude they have one and know what they're doing.

The deafening silence could mean anything, but saying they don't have a bug tracking system is far-fetched.

After taking your opponent's valor flag and subsequently having them take it back, you lose the bonus from your flag.

Ewww. So you drop 60%, not 30%. Nasty.

For some reason, I actually start to feel pissed off when I think about this issue now. Either I've lost perspective or this game has a lot of bugs that arent being recognised. I suspect a bit of both.

I wonder if shouting will help?

Is this a bug or a feature?

No it won't

Anyone think they can get Shadow to post here? Might grab frogboyz attention...

Just to remind everyone, the question still is:

Is Fire mode Torch Bearer inability to attack while moving a bug or a feature?

If it's a bug, what's the planned time frame for it's fix?

If it's a feature - you're insane!!!  Get ready for the shit to hit the fan. :D

This problem is listed in Known unresolved issues, so it is a bug.
