How come some games are matched 1v3 ??

I was wondering how come some pantheon games match people 1v3 ??? like this game I played below (screenshot attached)

arent the teams soposed to be more or less even number of players??

 

also it seems like nobody chats with each other in these games ... it feels almost like playing singleplayer

well since i wasnt in beta i may be mistaken, but the no chatting is due to them actually being AI controlled. as for the 3v1, i think the Pantheon attempts to pit the odds in the favor of the lower ranked players. so if your one mean player, your more likely to see a 3v1 as opposed to 3v2 ect. but again, this is just what ive gathered from reading the forums.

 Jerk is correct, most of the people following the game preordered from Stardock so we won't be able to play until tomorrow. Since there are no people online, you got automatically put against three computers. They are A.I., even if they names seem like something a player would choose.

If I recall, it was said if their ping and something else was 0, they were A.I. As for the odd team numbers, Jerk is 100% right. If you are a lot better than your opponent(s) , the game will skew teams to make up for it.

ah i see :) seems pretty cool so more experienced players will always find the game challengeing and newer players can learn from experienced players.
