Two modding questions / ideas I have

1. Is it possible to make certain weapon systems on ships rotate? IE: Kodiak top turret
2. Is it possible to add weak weapon systems to structures ie: research facilities/hangers? I just want to know if the current modding tools allow this or not before I go ahead and waste time.

1. Yes, using animation hacks.

1. It is being worked on at the moment, but with the current tools it is nion impossible.
2. Maybe, but I think that may require modeling. Someone else may be able to answer that question better, but I believe you have to create some kind of point on the model from where a weapon can fire.

Yeah. The structure models have to be modified but I don't know exactly how to do that. I think the best way to do this is to figure out how to open up the current models and see what makes the game know which part of the model goes pewpew.
