Galciv 2 on Xbox 360

I'm sick just thinking about it.

Can anyone imagine Galciv 2 on Xbox 360,i think i'm going to be sick.Strategy games and rts games are fun when on pc, but when they are put on consoles like the Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii, etc,it ruins everyting. The reason being is that strategy games are ment for pc, not consoles.I like the Xbox 360(because of Bioshock and Halo 3),but when they and other console developers put strategy games on their consoles, it makes game play suck.Galciv 2 is it's own special game and if it get's released for the 360, it will ruin the hole game.Does the idea of Galciv 2 beign on the Xbox 360 make anybody here sick?

Has something been announced that I missed? or is this just a what if thing?

The most limiting thing about trying to do these types of games on consoles are the controls. It's just impossible to get even near the amount of control you need for these games on a console's limited controller. I've played the early C & Cs and Warcraft 2 on consoles and even when they do their best to get a functional control scheme it is often just servicable and not much more. Almost like playing on a harder difficulty compared to PC.

I dont really mind strategy games on consoles (although I personally prefer playing them on PC cause its just easier with the controls etc). What I however dislikes are games that are developed for consoles first and then ported over to PC, cause they generally tend to be just plain horrible.

As far as strategy games go, I hope they keep on developing them for PC first and then porting over to consoles.

Ya I agree with Bunny on rts and rbs first developed on pc then going over to console. Yes they play way better on pc but still it would be cool for me and my friends on live to see and play Galciv2 and for them to know that Stardock is the best company in the world! Now the only problem is the processing power of the consoles and most consoles are limited in player battles. It might cap off at 4-8. Most likely 4. Civs are going to console. Stardock just think about it.

A RTS or a TBS can be a console game. C&C3's 360 version is a fine example of a working console RTS (aside the lack of EA's support... Actually, they don't care about console version owners at all, they promised a patch, and then it's not coming) . A TBS is even easier to make work on a console than a RTS. Console's also offer some advantages compared to PC, like easy Hotseat.
I kinda wish GalCiv2 were a console game. Wouldn't have to worry about performance. Lack of mods would be stupid though.

PC market is bigger, the mouse and keyboard are by far the best controls for TBS/RTS's.
