No Email with serial yet, stardock says i'm not registered to update.

I preordered around march (or whenever pre-orders were just announced) and have been playing the beta ever since. I havent gotten an e-mail with my retail serial # yet, even though all beta testers are supposed to be proccessed already. Also, in startdock central, if I try and update the game, it says i'm not registered for it.

Should I be concerned?

Yes.

#1 We're not sending out emails right now.

#2 Check over at https://www.stardock.com/support.asp put in your email address that you ordered with (not your email address that you're using here if they aren't the same).

I read that there is going to be an update of Stardock central for the download, maybe that is the problem, if you ordered the game you shopuld contact sales@stardock.com to get your retail sale serial #

As far as we can tell, everything should go smoothly. We've gone over it over and over again. But with thousands of users suddenly jumping on at the same time and with all the different levels of network connection and of course all the people who have 3 different email addresses (i.e. we have two accounts - the Stardock.net account which lets you get on the forums and your order account, we keep them seperate because your order account has order info and that is not allowed by our internal policy to be used outside our store -- we keep that info under lock and key). So just bear that in mind, if you ordered using one email address and have a different email address here, you may need to do a lookup (Which we'll have available here for you to do).




Edit: That's probably this, which you'd use to grab the serial number (e-mailed to you) and enter it into SDC under your SDC account.

You don't have to (And many people don't). It just means you have to make sure your accounts are linked by putting in your serial # into the tools->register products area.

i pre-ordered (the download version) yesterday and i havent got any confirmation whatsoever and the e-mail that sends me my serial doesnt give show a serial for GC2 either, is there a way to know if my pre-order was accepted?
i clicked check out quite late as i looked up the credit card which caused the step 2 (credit card info) window to be opened for probably over 1-2 hours untill clicking checking out. could this have been a problem?

Frogboy's link send me my old GalCiv 1 serial but no new one for GalCIv 2. Is there a way to find out if my preorder has been processed?
