Hi chaps. I have validated my game files, installed the latest graphics card drivers, reset the game settings, reinstalled DirectX and that other exe as mentioned here https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1370587141/GC4+Game+Loading+Issues and renamed the GalCivIV folder. I have the latest Windows Updates.
I'm not knowingly overclocking anything. All my other Steam games load okay. Only this one does not, it gets to the main splashscreen, then CTDs.
