So i tested the Eradica titan today and must say, i was very disappointed. While the abilities are more or less the same as in SoasER, there are two big differences, that changes the "ultimate" ability, "Unyielding Will", drastically: The Cripple-mechanic, and the fact that titans loose their lvl upon destruction.
I managed today to get my lvl 8 titan destroyed, which is not that easy, admitted, as i was curious how the ability would work with cripple and stuff. And it was the worst scnario i imagined: The Titan gets crippled as usual, so can't fight any longer, and when it gets completely destroyed, the ability activates, but with no visible counter or something, so i had no idea how long it would stay. Next thing, its ability "chastic burst", which is the only way the titan can still do damage, still has a fairly long cooldown, can still get disrupted, and does not work with autocast anymore (probably because the titan is officially crippled and unable to attack anything). Manually casting works though, but its very annoying to do so while you have a whole fleet to manage too.
After its destruction i rebuilt and noticed it lost all of its lvl, making the whole ability absolutely useless. Sacrificing this immensely costly unit is already something you should avoid, but it used to be some sort of last resort, taking the enemy fleet that destroyed it with it to the grave. Advent Rebells used to be my favourite faction and the Eradica was my favourite titan, but the new Reborn faction feels lacking, the tooltip refers to a ability to sacrifice planets to destroy enemy fleets, but i could not find it.
"Unyielding Will" could be useful if it procs before the titan is crippled, so it can still fight with all its weapons, and gets crippled afterwards, but for the moment its a hard pass.
PS: Advent Wrath is very nice to play on the other hand, the ultimate of the Coronata Titan is just incredible: Just take the enemy capital, no matter if there is a starbase preventing damage. A very powerful, rewarding, game-changing or -ending ability, as it should be.
