Small details can make a big difference. What small improvements do you think would make a big difference to the game? Please everyone, share your opinion.
Here are my top three:
1) Science Per Turn
It would be great to see how much science we are generating every turn at the top of the screen. I know the top of the screen gets clogged with a lot of resources, so maybe add a drop-down menu for planetary resources. I only rarely need to see how much Epithemeus Pollen I have, for example.
2) Pirate Bases and Fog of War
Right now in .90 all pirate/alien/precursor shipyards disappear in the fog of war. This is extremely annoying because you forget where they are and then, lo and behold, your probe/freighter/colony ship is no more. Then what happens is you save your game at the end of the day, come back to it the next day, and because it's not fresh in your memory, the same exact thing happens all over again. At the very least, we should have a way to mark points on the map so we know where they are.
3) Disabling Exploration Treaties
I find exploration treaties to be a nuisance because they make the time in between turns take much longer. (They also tax the hell out of low-end systems.) Sometimes the AI offers you a pretty sweet deal with an exploration treaty and you're tempted to take it. (I've noticed when the AI offers you a good deal, you should just take it. Any haggling on your part and the deal falls through.) So it would be nice to be able to disable exploration treaties altogether.
