My post was somewhat tongue in cheek and I agree that the player knows they probably should care, but by what degree should they care and what did they miss out on?
My concerns:
- Available Galactic Achievements are shown in the planet improvement menu, but unless I am missing something I don't see data on them anywhere else. Once once is built then you cannot see what the stats are for that achievement anywhere that I am aware of.
- Searching 'achievements' in the Technology Library returns no results, so if there are galactic achievements yet to come then the player will not know how to get to them.
- The pop-up that notifies you the AI got a galactic achievement gives no indication of what the benefit of that achievement is for the UI, at a minimum the player should be able to mouse over the name of the achievement and see what it does. Since they are such a big deal the player should know the impact when one is built and how that may change the complexion of the game.
