Thank you. While I appreciate your “Get what you ask for” attitude, you should appreciate that those of us on the fast ring are on the front lines, and you should embrace that. WE are the front line of what is to come. Don’t berate us for being on the front line. HELP US!!!!!
Indeed, we very much welcome the early warnings - many of our timely fixes for Windows 10 general releases were a result of users reporting issues on pre-releases.
The rub sometimes, however, is this:
Any idea when an update will be released?
Not too close to Christmas now. Any idea if or when fix will be released?
any updates forthcoming with DeskScape
Or rather, the inevitable 'is it done yet' replies for what is still a pre-release of Windows.
We very much understand the desire to have this resolved quikcly but for pre-release version of Windows, where MS could make any number of changes during its cycle (unbreak what they broke for example), the expectation should be that we (any rational developer) will wait as long as possible to release an update to match a MS release that is imminent- ensuring that our products (fixes) will work when it is.
As Neil has mentioned, there is testing that is involved, for DS, on Win10 on the other OSs it supports. We will post an update, either for a beta test release (Object Desktop subscribers) or a direct version update, in our forums.
Again, your feedback is always welcome and is vital to creating quality software so keep it coming.
