got similar generic text on an event popup.  below youll see 'TopFiveCivApproval_NewsDescription' and 'TopFiveCivApproval_NewsTitle placeholders.screenshot

Have you tried verifying integrity of files?

just did.  said there were 5 files that failed to verify and were reacquired.  i'll start up the game again and see what's what.

Hi,

I also mentioned this in a previous thread entitled 3.05 Name Display Bug https://forums.stardock.com/490175/page/1/#3721579, noting that ship names suffered the same effect.

I didn't have it in my latest game so perhaps it's already been patched. But it is irritating and presumably should be easy to fix.

This is happens when the installation of a patch goes wrong. Usually when others experienced this program verifying game files fixed it. Also sometimes an antivirus program can interfere with the download of files.
